Cricket NSW have now formulated a complete female pathway for girls wanting to play cricket. There are many options for girls only cricket at the Wakehurst Redbacks.
- The entry level program will continue. This is called the Junior Blaster and will run as a twilight event on Friday nights. It is a lot of fun for both boys and girls – music, games, skills. The intended age group is 5 & 6-year-olds with limited cricketing experience. The Junior Blaster will be run at Lionel Watts – 5.30-6.30pm
- Master Blaster for Girls 7 – 8 ages. Runs Friday night’s 5.30 – 7.00pm at Lionel Watts.
- MWJCA Sixers Girls Leagues for Girls Under 11 is 7 aside with a semi hard ball. Each player faces 17 deliveries.
- For older girls there is a cricket league for you. The Sixers Girls Cricket League is a 9 a side T20 format. This league is in 2 age groups – Under 13 and Under 15

Girls 7 – 8 years of age
The Master Blaster Boys and GIRLS program will run on Friday nights from 5.30 – 7.00 pm at Lionel Watts. This competition has modified rules and played with a soft ball. Girls under 11 years of age (With limited cricket experience)
The Sixers Girls Cricket League is played between 10.30am – 12.45pm on Saturday Mornings at the Girls Hub at David Thomas Oval, Manly Vale. This competition is modified rules, semi-hard ball, 7 a side facing 17 deliveries each.

Girls Under 13 and Under 15 (Dispensation considered for those older)
The Sixers Girls Cricket League is a home and away competition played between 1 – 3.30pm on Saturday afternoons.
- U13
- U15
The u/13 and u/15 competition will be run by the Manly Warringah Junior Cricket. It is a 9-a-side T20 format with the u/15 age having some longer versions towards the end of the season. The competition is traditional in that “out you are out”. It uses a 142g leather ball.
